Charlie Dougherty

In the Spring of 2004, Charlie Doughtery launched Cornerstone Recruiting, a company built upon the philosophy that it is an extension of each client's team. Cornerstone transcends the typical vendor, offering customized recruiting solutions and targeting working professionals with sterling histories that clients would not reach through mainstream recruiting channels.

As leader of Cornerstone's recruiting strategies, Charlie is responsible for hiring, training, and managing recruiters. In addition to maintaining routine business operations, he often leads the way recruiting for high-level executive searches and is instrumental in developing innovative marketing strategies that target passive job seekers.

Charlie began a career in the commercial construction industry at an early age, working throughout high school and college for a distinguished DC area general contractor. The skills he gained there proved invaluable when he began recruiting construction, skilled trades, and engineering positions for a multi-billion dollar, privately owned staffing firm.

Later he joined one of the largest building services and building operations companies in the DC region as Senior Recruiter. This job taught him the complexities of staffing large government projects on short notice, and honed his skills in full life-cycle recruiting.

Time spent in each industry has afforded Charlie a rare perspective on corporate staffing challenges and the needs of the general labor force. As a strategic business partner to many corporate operations teams, Charlie has gained the experience necessary to address today's most pressing obstacles in recruiting. His tenacity and proficiency have earned him numerous accolades and he is consistently recognized as a top performer in his field.

To supplement his many years in corporate HR, Charlie holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. He has a clear understanding of the discrepancies between a company's staffing needs and the actual services it receives from traditional recruitment firms. His knowledge and expertise are a potent combination for tackling these issues.

Charlie has three lovely daughters and spends much of his personal time with them. His hobbies include competitive bass fishing, staying fit, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Eric Yankolonis

Eric Yankolonis began his career with Cornerstone Recruiting in the spring of 2007. As a recruiter he specializes in full life-cycle recruiting for the construction, skilled trades, and manufacturing industries.

With a background in sales and marketing, Eric knows what it takes to identify high-potential prospects, nurture relationships, and select the highest quality candidates based on in-depth research and analysis. A Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from West Virginia University only adds to his refined networking capabilities.

Eric is now a Recruiting Account Manager and is tasked with building client and candidate relationships, matching top talent with the needs of clients, and managing recruiters. His principled values and resourcefulness have led to a solid record of accomplishments. He never cuts corners and he never disappoints.

During his time at Cornerstone Eric has identified first-rate candidates and connected them with the right clients, he has won success sourcing through passive job seekers, and he's built a strong network of quality candidates accessible at any time. His motivation and attention to detail ensures the best candidates are matched with client needs every time.

Out of the office, Eric enjoys spending time with Lauren, his lovely bride-to-be. He is a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the West Virginia Mountaineers, and he plays golf, soccer, and squash whenever he has the time.

Ben Stewart

Ben Stewart joined Cornerstone Recruiting in 2009 to assist in the development of recruitment for local manufacturing. As a Recruiting Account Manager, he was quick to develop relationships in the local manufacturing industry and adamant in maintaining them.

With seven years of experience as a recruiter, Ben is no stranger to the stringent demands of clients. Prior to Cornerstone, he served Aerotek Commercial where he provided full life-cycle recruiting to The Baltimore/Washington area's largest, most prominent manufacturing companies.

During his time with Cornerstone, Ben has built a thriving manufacturing division, consistently sourced and delivered the elite talent clients deserve, and has recruited for clients in the construction industry across the country. He also assists in business development, focusing on Cornerstone's core construction and engineering clients at both a local and national level.

Ben earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a Minor in Economics from St. Mary's College, Maryland's only Public Honors College. He was a 3-year letterman and Team Captain of the Men's Basketball team.

He and his beautiful wife, Nichole, spend much of their time happily raising their son. When he has a moment free, Ben enjoys golfing, investing, watching sports, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers.

Earl O'Bryant

Earl O'Bryant joined Cornerstone Recruiting in 2012 as Business Development Manager and has focused on building a catalog of new clients in the construction, engineering, and facility management industries across the U.S.

Twenty three years in the retail industry has provided Earl with insight into how to hire the right people for the job. As a store manager for both Target and Kohls he led up to 275 employees during peak seasons and recruited at district and regional levels. He is mindful of how critical each employee is to the success of a business and prides himself on maintaining the performance and morale of his teams.

Coming from retail, Earl also appreciates the value of good customer service. His expertise in human resources has served him well at Cornerstone, where he has proven to deliver the highest quality service to new and existing clients. This dedication in creating personal and individual relationships with clients has earned Earl a prominent position in the recruiting industry.

Earl has been married to his beautiful wife, Wendy, for twenty three years. Together they enjoy watching their son, EJ, and daughter, Lila, play sports. Earl is also an avid golfer.
